Kèr Lèfeiēù (/lɛf/ /ˈejʊ/ [clerk; accountant] [distant]) is a subtropical Town located in Z̄egesuhuhi Hold, Sàsdāgíh Provence, within the Tauranian United Provinces.

The name Kèr Lèfeiēù is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Lèfeiēù was founded by Great Reef Crabs Pugh, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Lèfeiēù has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 12°C (53°F). Kèr Lèfeiēù receives an average of 232 cm/y (91 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kèr Lèfeiēù covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 934 m (3064 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Lèfeiēù was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1308, by Great Reef Crabs Pugh. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Great Reef Crabs Pugh.

Kèr Lèfeiēù was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Lèfeiēù is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Kèr Lèfeiēù is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Kèr Lèfeiēù was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the narrow cobblestone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The town's would-be-castle fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Right off the bat Kèr Lèfeiēù hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. Precisely how it has gained its wealth is a mystery. Kèr Lèfeiēù is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Lèfeiēù has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Lèfeiēù. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Lèfeiēù's parks.

Kèr Lèfeiēù has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Lèfeiēù.

Kèr Lèfeiēù has a government-funded child care program, overseen by the local Department of Nursemaids, which is responsible for providing childcare to working-class citizens according to local ordinances.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Lèfeiēù's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kèr Lèfeiēù has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Kèr Lèfeiēù which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Kèr Lèfeiēù's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.
